"Lost Trail"

$ 125.00

Against a stormy backdrop of the wide open prairie, a cowboy faithfully leads his trusted horse, as he looks for the trail of his lost cattle.  Taken from an actual story written by Colonel Homer Wheeler in "Frontier Trails", where he wrote that "the trail of my cattle was obliterated by wind and hail". Colonel Wheeler was a post trader at Ft. Wallace, Kansas and was one of the first cattle ranchers to do business in Western Kansas.
